The personal data file contains individual level e-mail addresses of the customers and potential customers interested in the services of Houston Analytics Ltd. The addresses have primarily been collected from the website’s Newsletter section and from customer contacts in various channels.
THE PURPOSE OF THE USE OF PERSONAL DATA
The personal data is used for providing information (newsletter) related to customer relationship management of Houston Analytics’ customers and customers interested in the newsletter, for direct marketing and research.
DESCRIPTION OF THE FILE DATA
The personal data file contains the e-mail address of the person. In addition, the click data on the newsletter of Houston Analytics Ltd is recorded.
DISCLOSURE AND TRANSFER OF DATA
The controller does not disclose data for other parties. The data is not recorded or transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
SECURING THE DATA FILE
The databases in which the file data is recorded are secured with firewalls, passwords and other technical means in such a way that no unauthorized persons have access to them.
The controller sees to it that only those employees of the controller and the companies working for the controller have access to the data for whom this is necessary for carrying out their duties.
RIGHT OF ACCESS, PROHIBITION AND RECTIFICATION
The data subject has the right of access to the data recorded on him/her in the personal data file. The request for access shall be addressed in writing to the person in charge of the file. The request may also be presented personally in the premises of the controller at the above address. The request can be made without charge once a year. Answers to any requests for access are given as soon as possible, however, at least within a month from the date the request has been presented. The data subjects have the right to prohibit the use of their data by so notifying the controller.
